Introduction : Formation de trajectoires d’innovations et… d’innovateurs

Cet article est l’introduction du dossier « Innovations et innovateurs, quelles trajectoires ? » volume 2 qui compose ce numéro de Technologie et Innovation. Il fait suite au volume 1 qui était centré davantage sur l’innovation que l’innovateur. Dans ce volume également, nous sommes conduits à souligner que l’un et l’autre ne sont pas toujours facilement identifiables. Mais, est-ce vraiment important quand l’objectif est d’attirer l’attention du lecteur sur quelques faits importants qui ont marqué l’histoire de techniques. Notre objectif est en effet de mieux comprendre le monde dans lequel nous vivons.

This article is the introduction to “Innovations and Innovators: An in-depth look at their common trajectories”, the second volume which makes up this issue of Technology and Innovation. It follows Volume 1, which focused more on innovation than on the innovator. In this volume too, we are compelled to emphasize that the two are not always easily identifiable. However, is this really important when the aim is to draw the reader’s attention to salient facts that have shaped the history of certain techniques. Indeed, our goal is to have a better understanding of the world in which we live.
