De l’art pour ne pas simplifier le discours et porter l’inconnu dans la science, une artiste à bord de TARA PACIFIC

L’artiste Noémie Sauve a embarqué en 2017 à bord de la Goélette Tara Pacific, pour un séjour de 7 semaines au sein de l’expédition qui étudiait l’état des récifs coralliens. Dans cet article, elle revient sur cette expérience et la façon dont celle-ci a fait évoluer sa manière de concevoir le rapport de l’art et la science : façonner un art qui soutient la complexité du vivant pour faire respecter ce qui nous échappe aussi avec la science.

In 2017 artist Noémie Sauve went aboard Schooner Tara Pacific to join a seven weeks expedition studying the state of coral reefs. In this article the artist overviews this experience and the way in which it altered her means of perceiving the relation between art and science: shaping art that supports complexity of the living in order to pay respect to what escapes us even with science.
